Ezekiel, Book of
The Book of Ezekiel contains the prophecies of Ezekiel, including his call, warnings against Judah and surrounding nations, and promises of restoration after Jerusalem’s destruction. Its later visions include renewed national life, the kingdom of God, and a restored sanctuary.
Biblical Usage
The book presents Ezekiel’s symbolic acts and allegorical visions as prophetic instruction concerning judgment, restoration, Israel, and the kingdom of God. Its closing visions are referred to in Revelation, and the New Testament contains other references to Ezekiel’s writings.
