Ezekiel
Ezekiel was a priest and prophet among the Jewish exiles in Babylonia. His prophetic ministry included visions, symbolic actions, warnings of Jerusalem’s judgment, promises of restoration, and visions concerning God’s kingdom and worship.
Biblical Usage
Ezekiel was called to prophesy in the fifth year of Jehoiachin’s captivity. The fall of Jerusalem divides his book: earlier chapters emphasize warning and judgment, while later chapters bring consolation, restoration, and hope.
