EXACTION
A demand for money owed or pledged, or an oppressive eviction from house and home. The term can therefore describe financial pressure or forced removal.
Biblical Usage
Israel agreed to forego certain demands for money lent on pledge in the seventh year. Ezekiel uses the term in a context where it may also mean expulsions from house and home.
