Eve
Eve was the first woman, created by God as Adam’s wife and companion. She was deceived by the serpent, disobeyed God’s command concerning the forbidden fruit, and gave it to Adam.
Biblical Usage
The serpent deceived Eve, and she violated God’s command concerning the forbidden fruit, giving it also to Adam. Afterward she became the mother of Cain and other children, including Seth.
