Eunuch
A eunuch was literally a castrated man, often employed as a chamberlain or court official, though the term could also mean an officer without describing physical condition. Scripture discusses eunuchs in relation to worship, royal service, and voluntary singleness for the kingdom of heaven.
Biblical Usage
The Mosaic law excluded eunuchs from the congregation, while later Scripture speaks of their acceptance. Jesus mentioned three classes of eunuchs and used the term for those who voluntarily remained unmarried for the kingdom of heaven.
