Ethiopian eunuch
The Ethiopian eunuch was a high official and treasurer of Candace, queen of Ethiopia. While returning from Jerusalem and reading Isaiah, he was taught and baptized by Philip, becoming an early Gentile believer in Christ.
Biblical Usage
Philip explained the Scripture to the eunuch, who received the gospel and was baptized. His conversion is presented as a significant early movement of the gospel beyond Jerusalem.
