ETERNITY
The timeless and unchanging mode of God’s existence, distinct from the succession of events in time. Scripture also speaks of God and His kingdom as everlasting, from everlasting to everlasting.
Biblical Usage
Scripture speaks of God as from everlasting to everlasting, of His kingdom as everlasting, and of Him as inhabiting eternity. Yet His transcendence of time does not remove Him from His people; He remains near to the humble and the contrite.
