Etam

Etam was the name of more than one place in Judah, including a fortified town near Bethlehem and a settlement assigned to Simeon. Samson also took refuge in the rock or cleft of Etam after attacking the Philistines.

Etam appears as a city of Judah fortified by Rehoboam, as a settlement assigned to Simeon, and as the place where Samson took refuge in a cleft of rock after his slaughter of the Philistines.
