EQUAL
Fair, impartial, or placed on the same footing. In John 5:18, Jesus’ opponents understood His claim to be the Son of God as declaring equality with God.
Biblical Usage
In Ezekiel, what is not equal is not equitable or impartial. In the parable of the laborers, workers with different hours were put on the same footing. In John 5:18, Jesus’ opponents understood His claim to God as declaring equality in rank and authority.
