An archaic word meaning to damage or harm. In Ezra 4:13 it refers to harming the king’s revenues.
Biblical Usage
In Ezra 4:13, the King James Version says that the proposed rebuilding would “damage” the revenue of the kings. The Revised Version expresses the meaning as being hurtful to the kings.
