EN-GEDI
An oasis and town on the western shore of the Dead Sea, known for its springs, palms, and vines. It belonged to Judah and was a refuge for David from Saul.
Biblical Usage
David took refuge in the caves of En-gedi while fleeing from Saul. The place is also associated with Solomon’s Song and with the invasion of Judah during Jehoshaphat’s reign.
