Emmaus
Emmaus was the village toward which two disciples traveled on the day of Jesus’ resurrection. Jesus joined them on the road, explained the Scriptures, and was recognized by them when He broke bread.

On the day of Jesus’ resurrection, two disciples traveled toward Emmaus. Jesus joined them on the way, and the village was about sixty stadia from Jerusalem according to Luke’s account.
