Election of Grace
Election of grace is God’s gracious choice of individuals, nations, or servants for privilege, service, and, in the fullest sense, salvation. Scripture presents this election as grounded in God’s sovereign purpose and directed toward holiness and the praise of his grace.
Biblical Usage
Scripture presents individuals such as Abraham, Jacob, David, Solomon, and the apostles as chosen for particular purposes, Israel as chosen for special privilege, and individuals as chosen to salvation, adoption, holiness, and the praise of God’s grace.
