Eldad
Eldad was one of the seventy elders chosen to share Moses’ burden of leading Israel. Though he remained in the camp rather than going to the meeting tent, the Spirit rested on him and he prophesied.
Biblical Usage
Eldad’s prophecy in the camp was reported to Moses as irregular, but Moses refused Joshua’s request to stop him. Moses expressed the desire that all the Lord’s people might be prophets.
