Easter
Easter is a later Christian term for the celebration of Christ’s resurrection. In the King James Version it appears once for the Greek word meaning Passover, but the biblical text itself calls that feast Passover.
Biblical Usage
The New Testament records the Passover and Christ’s death and resurrection, but the term Easter does not properly occur in Scripture. The King James Version uses it once for Passover, while the Revised Version renders the word consistently as Passover.
