Eagle
The eagle in Scripture represents a powerful bird known for speed, strength, high nests, keen sight, and soaring flight. The biblical term may sometimes include large vultures, and the bird is used both literally and symbolically.
Biblical Usage
The eagle symbolizes swift judgment and destructive nations, but also God’s care in carrying and training His people. Scripture uses it for renewal, strength, elevation, vision, rapid flight, and strength in Revelation. It was counted among the unclean birds.
