Dung-gate
The Dung-gate was a gate of ancient Jerusalem, associated with the removal of refuse and sweepings from the city. It was located in the southern or southwestern area of the city.
Biblical Usage
The Dung-gate is mentioned in Nehemiah 2:13 in Nehemiah’s inspection of Jerusalem’s walls and gates.
