Drown
To drown is to perish by being overwhelmed with water. Drowning appears in Scripture as a form of death and as a warning concerning severe judgment on those who cause others to stumble.
Biblical Usage
The drowning of armies appears in the account of the Red Sea and in other biblical descriptions. Jesus referred to drowning when warning about causing one of His little ones to stumble.
