Dough
Dough is the mixture of flour and water prepared for baking, often with fermentation. Israel carried unleavened dough from Egypt because they departed before it could rise.
Biblical Usage
The Israelites carried their prepared dough from Egypt in kneading-troughs before it had fermented. Hosea uses the turning of dough during baking as an image.
