DOUBLE
To double means to make twice as much, fold over, or multiply. Scripture uses the idea for additional payment, a firstborn’s inheritance, multiplied punishment, and a double portion of prophetic blessing.
Biblical Usage
In the King James Version of Matthew 13:21, it describes the person who does not endure when persecution or tribulation arises. Later English uses “endureth.”
