The Dispersion refers to the scattering of peoples, especially the Jews living outside the land of Israel. Jewish communities spread through the ancient world, and God used this network of synagogues and settlements in the spread of the gospel.
Biblical Usage
The Jewish Dispersion is addressed in James and Peter. The scattering of Jewish communities ultimately helped open the way for the spread of the gospel into many lands.
