Deuteronomy

Scripture • Old Testament
Deuteronomy is the fifth book of the Pentateuch. It records Moses’ final addresses to Israel, reviewing God’s dealings with them, restating the covenant law, urging faithful obedience, and setting before the people blessing and curse.
Biblical Usage
Deuteronomy presents Israel’s relation to the one God and calls the people to love Him with all the heart, soul, and might. Jesus summarized the Old Covenant’s central command from Deuteronomy and used its words in resisting the tempter.
