DEMOPHON
Demophon was a Syrian general in Palestine under Antiochus V. He continued hostile actions against the Jews after agreements had been made between Lysias and Judas Maccabeus.
Biblical Usage
Demophon is mentioned in 2 Maccabees 12:2 as continuing to harass the Jews despite covenants made by Lysias and Judas Maccabeus.
