DECISION
A decision is a judgment or settled determination about a matter. In Scripture, decisions were made by patriarchs, judges, kings, councils, or sometimes by casting lots while seeking God’s direction.
Biblical Usage
Biblical decisions were made by patriarchs, judges, kings, and appointed councils. Difficult questions were sometimes settled by casting lots, with the people believing that God directed the result; the apostles used this method in choosing Judas’s replacement.
