A crisping-pin was probably a small pouch, purse, or casket used as a woman’s ornament. The Revised Version renders the related term “satchel,” and the same Hebrew word can mean “bag.”
Biblical Usage
The term occurs in Isaiah 3:22 as part of a list of women’s ornaments. The same Hebrew word is rendered “bag” in 2 Kings 5:23.
