Corinthians, First Epistle to the

First Corinthians is Paul’s letter to the church at Corinth addressing divisions, immorality, disorder in worship, Christian conduct, spiritual gifts, and the resurrection. It calls the church to holiness, unity, and love.
Biblical Usage
Paul calls the Corinthians away from factional loyalty to Paul, Apollos, or other teachers and urges unity in Christ. He corrects moral and worship disorders, gives instruction concerning Christian ethics and spiritual gifts, and defends the resurrection as essential to Christian faith.
