Copper
Copper was an important ancient metal used for vessels, mirrors, weapons, tools, chains, and temple furnishings. Many biblical references traditionally translated “brass” more accurately describe copper or bronze.
Biblical Usage
Copper was used in the tabernacle and temple, in weapons and armor, and in objects such as mirrors. Scripture also speaks of copper in connection with Palestine’s resources and with the work of craftsmen such as Tubal-cain and Hiram.
