Conversion
Conversion is the turning of a sinner from a former way of life to God through repentance and faith. It may be sudden or gradual, but it results in a changed relationship with God and a changed manner of life.
Biblical Usage
Scripture describes the conversion of Gentiles, Paul, the Philippian jailer, the Ethiopian, Cornelius, Lydia, and others. Conversion is the human act of turning in response to God’s call, under divine grace. It includes repentance as the turning from the former way and faith as the turning toward God.
