CONVERSANT
Conversant formerly meant familiar with or associated with someone, literally going or walking with them. In older biblical usage it describes accompanying or associating with others.
Biblical Usage
The King James Version uses the word for people who went or walked with others. Marginal and later translations commonly express the idea simply as “walked” or “went.”
