Conduit
A conduit is a channel, trench, or aqueduct for carrying water. Hezekiah made a conduit bringing the waters of Gihon into Jerusalem so the city would have water during a siege.
Biblical Usage
Hezekiah’s conduit supplied Jerusalem with water and helped protect the city during a siege by drawing water away from the enemy. The conduit of the upper pool is mentioned in connection with the city’s defenses and water supply.
