CHIDE
To chide means to scold, rebuke, or sharply censure. In the Old Testament it may describe complaints from inferiors or correction given by a superior.
Biblical Usage
In the Old Testament, chiding can describe the complaints and reproaches of inferiors toward a superior, or the rebukes of a superior toward inferiors.
