Cauda

Cauda, also called Clauda, was a small island south of Crete. Paul’s ship passed under its shelter during the stormy voyage to Rome.
Biblical Usage
During Paul’s voyage to Rome, the ship was driven under the lee of Cauda. In the calmer water there, the crew hauled in the boat, undergirded the ship, and slackened sail.
