The candlestick was the gold seven-branched lampstand in the tabernacle and temple, supplied with oil and associated with God’s light and people.
Biblical Usage
The candlestick’s light symbolized the knowledge of God and the church or people of God as the light of the world. The lamps were supplied with specially prepared oil, trimmed in the morning, and lighted each evening.
