Canaan, The Land Of
The land of Canaan was the region west of the Jordan and the Dead Sea, extending toward the Mediterranean. God promised this land to Abraham’s descendants and gave it to Israel as an inheritance.
Biblical Usage
Canaan is presented as the promised inheritance of Israel and as the land in which God’s people were to dwell.
