Calling
Calling may refer to a person’s occupation or condition of life, but especially to God’s invitation to salvation through Jesus Christ. Believers are urged to live worthy of this holy, heavenly calling and to confirm their calling and election.
Biblical Usage
Believers are urged to walk worthy of their calling, to live so that God may count them worthy of it, and to make their calling and election sure. Calling also describes the condition of life in which people were when God called them.
