BROOK OF EGYPT, THE
The Brook of Egypt was a desert watercourse and valley near the border of Egypt and Canaan, usually identified with Wadi el-‘Arish. It is mentioned as a boundary of the land promised to Israel.

The Brook of Egypt marks the southern boundary of the land promised to Israel and is mentioned in several Old Testament passages. Genesis 15:18 uses another term for it.
