A bowl was a dish or basin used for food, liquids, offerings, or other household purposes. In the tabernacle and temple it also referred to the ornamental cups of the lampstand and vessels associated with worship.
Biblical Usage
Bowls appear in the furnishings of the tabernacle, in Zechariah’s vision of the lampstand, in offerings, and in vessels used at banquets. Revelation uses the term for vessels formerly rendered “vials.”
