Bond
A bond may be a binding obligation, imprisonment, or affliction. Scripture also uses the term positively for the bond of peace and the bond of perfect love among believers.
Biblical Usage
Scripture uses bond for personal obligations and for affliction or imprisonment. In a positive sense, love is the bond of perfectness and the Spirit’s influence is associated with the bond of peace.
