BODY, SPIRITUAL
The resurrection body, suited to life in the realm of the Spirit rather than governed by ordinary earthly passions and limitations. It is a real body, patterned after the risen and glorified body of Christ.
Biblical Usage
Paul contrasts the spiritual body with the natural body and teaches that believers will bear the image of the risen Christ. Christ’s resurrection body, which could be touched and recognized yet was not restricted by ordinary barriers, is presented as the closest representation of the spiritual body.
