Behemoth
Behemoth is the great creature described in Job 40. The description most naturally fits the hippopotamus, though the word elsewhere simply means beasts or cattle.

In Job, Behemoth illustrates immense strength, great size, and the creature’s dependence on streams and vegetation. In other biblical passages the word is translated as a general term for beasts or cattle.
