Bathsheba, Or Bathsheba
Bathsheba, also called Bath-shua, was the wife of Uriah and later David, and the mother of Solomon. She intervened when Adonijah sought to take the throne instead of Solomon.
Biblical Usage
The child born from David’s adulterous intercourse with Bathsheba died. When Adonijah attempted to displace Solomon, Bathsheba informed David of the conspiracy. After Solomon became king, she served as queen mother and presented a request concerning Adonijah.
