BARACHIAH
Barachiah is named as the father of Zechariah, whose murder Jesus connected with the guilt of his generation. The identification of this Zechariah with the son of Jehoiada is uncertain.
Biblical Usage
Jesus referred to the murdered Zechariah when speaking of the guilt of His generation. Luke omits the father’s name in the parallel passage.
