Augustus band
The Augustus band was a military cohort connected with the Roman army. It accompanied Paul on the voyage from Caesarea toward Rome, and may have consisted of troops stationed in Caesarea.
Biblical Usage
The band is mentioned in Acts 27:1 in connection with Paul’s journey to Rome.
