ARK OF NOAH
The ark of Noah was the large vessel God commanded Noah to build for the preservation of his household and representatives of the animals during the Flood. It was made of wood, divided into compartments, and covered with pitch.
Biblical Usage
The ark preserved Noah’s household and representatives of the animals associated with humanity. Noah prepared it in obedience to God and, during that preparation, was a preacher of righteousness.
