Ahitub
Ahitub was the name of priests in the lines of Eli and Zadok. One was associated with Ahimelech and Abiathar; another was the father of Zadok, the priest who served under David and Solomon.
Biblical Usage
The first Ahitub belongs to the priestly line associated with Ahijah, Ahimelech, and Abiathar. The second was the father of Zadok, who held high priestly office under David and Solomon. A later Ahitub also appears in the genealogy.
