Affection means feeling or emotion. Scripture warns against sinful or disordered affections and urges believers to set their minds and desires on things above.
Biblical Usage
The Bible warns against vile and inordinate affections and exhorts Christians to set their affections on things above. Thus affection may be either disordered by sin or directed toward heavenly things.
