ADORN
To adorn means to arrange, decorate, or make beautiful. Scripture especially contrasts outward decoration with the inward adornment of godly character, including meekness, holiness, and righteousness.
Biblical Usage
Paul and Peter address Christian women’s manner of dress. The word also describes the Jewish nation’s outward religious reform without true inward transformation, and figuratively the graces and beauty of the Christian life.
