Achaia
Achaia was the Roman province comprising much of Greece, including the Peloponnesus. Several early Christian communities were located there, and Paul ministered in the region during his missionary work.
Biblical Usage
Paul ministered in Achaia, and Corinth was associated with the province. Gallio is called its proconsul, Apollos prepared to travel there, and the churches of Achaia were commended for their generosity.
