Abdon
Abdon was the name of several Old Testament persons, including the tenth judge of Israel, a Benjamite, an official sent to consult the prophetess Huldah, and a descendant of Shashak. Abdon was also a Levitical city in Asher.
Biblical Usage
The judge Abdon was the son of Hillel, a Pirathonite, and judged Israel after the period of Jephthah. Other men named Abdon appear in the genealogical and royal records. The town is listed among the Levitical cities.
