Ethiopian Eunuch, The
The Ethiopian Eunuch was a Jewish proselyte and royal treasurer who met Philip on the road from Jerusalem to Gaza. Philip explained the good news about Jesus from Isaiah, and the man was baptized.

The Ethiopian Eunuch was a Jewish proselyte and treasurer of Candace, queen of Ethiopia. While returning from Jerusalem, he was taught by Philip and converted to Christianity.
Biblical Usage
Philip met him on the road, explained the passage from Isaiah that he was reading, and baptized him. Nothing further is recorded about him after his return to Ethiopia.
Historical Background
He held a high position at the Ethiopian court and had traveled to Jerusalem to worship, showing his connection with Judaism before hearing the gospel.
